Glyn Whiting was born in 1950 in Hereford, U.K. and went to Hereford collage of art in the 60’s. During the 70’s Glyn travelled the world working in the oil industry as a designer. In 1981 he married and went to live in New Zealand where he spent 17 years.

Although drawing and painting all his life Glyn decided to become more committed to art in the early 90’s. During this time he had several one man exhibitions in Auckland  as well as painting promotional art for some of New Zealand’s  leading sportsmen.

In 1998 Glyn returned to his Herefordshire roots and opened his own studio and gallery in Pembridge. This proved a success and The Old Forge Gallery became well know for quality and affordable art. During this time he expanded his sporting art and, although concentrating on the F1 and MotoGP fields, paints a wide range of subjects.

  He is married to Dela and between them they have three grown up children and a granddaughter .
